(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: AirAsia India will launch direct flights on Kolkata–Chennai route from June 1, the airline announced on May 13.
The flight will depart from Kolkata at 3.30 pm and reach Chennai at 5.55 pm while the flight from Chennai will leave at 6.25 pm and reach Kolkata at 8.55 pm.
The fare has been set to INR 3,299 (USD 47.29).
Sanjay Kumar, COO, AirAsia, said, 'We are strengthening our connectivity in the south with this new route. We look forward to adding more routes from Chennai in near future.'
AirAsia India currently operates 3 flights, 2 to Bengaluru and 1 to Hyderabad, from Chennai daily.
