(MENAFN) French media revealed that the Eiffel Tower was urgently cleared out on Monday after a man was spotted attempting to climb one of the pillars of the monument.
The man was seen early in the afternoon between the second and third floor.
The Paris police headquarters demanded emergency clear out of the building for security fears.
The management company of the Eiffel Tower has urged visitors to delay their visit "to avoid a long wait".
