Cairo, 19 (Petra) -- The Arab League on Sunday held the 40th high-level meeting for the joint mechanism between the pan-Arab organization and Sudan in Cairo to discuss the humanitarian and development situation in Sudan.
The meeting, chaired by the Director of the Horn of Africa and Sudan Department in the Arab League, Zeid Sabban, discussed an Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) project, especially in Darfur, and the development of agriculture and livestock in some areas in the country.
The meeting also addressed several issues, chief of which is preparing for the 5th phase that is intended to provide developmental assistance in Sudan instead of cash assistance, especially in light of the changes that the country is witnessing.
