(MENAFN) On Saturday, Bahraini authorities released a travel advisory for Iran and Iraq and urged its citizens reside in both nations to return "immediately".
According to a Foreign Ministry statement released by the Bahraini News Agency, Manama attributed these cautions to the "unstable situation in the region and the recent escalations and threats against security and stability".
Tensions between Washington and Tehran have increased over the past two weeks as the U.S. positioned a carrier strike group and bomber task force to the Middle East, citing an imminent threat from Iran.
Last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani proclaimed that his country will limit its compliance with the 2015 nuclear agreement that the U.S. pulled out from since two years affirming that it did not adequately address Iran's missile programs.
