(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is in opposition of the eruption of wars within the region, as emphasized Minister of the State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir on Sunday.
However, the Saudi minister emphasized, the Kingdom is willing to protect its interests if seen necessary.
Addressing a news conference, the minister affirmed that Saudi Arabia "does not seek to start a war and will do its best to prevent this," noting that it was prepared to protect itself in case of a war.
"Iran and its allies against conducting reckless behaviors, urging Iran to adhere to international laws and stop interference in the internal affairs of regional states," Al-Jubeir stated.
He further sent an appeal for Iran "to stop financing terrorism and stop developing its missile and nuclear program."
