Ramallah, May 19 (Petra) - A group of Jewish extremist settlers, led by Israeli Minister of Agriculture Uri Ariel, on Sunday forced their way into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem, according to a Palestinian official.
General Director of the Jerusalem Endowment and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, told Petra's reporter in Ramallah that far-right minister and the settlers raided the compound's yards entering from the Magharba gate under the protection of the heavily armed occupation forces.
"They performed provocative Talmudic rituals in the courtyards and conducted suspicious tours inside the holy place amid a state of anger among Muslim worshipers", he added.
