Iraqi security forces kill 9 Daesh terrorists in Anbar


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, as many as nine Daesh terrorists were murdered in an operation by Iraqi forces in the western province of Anbar, the Iraqi military stated.

The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS), supported by Iraqi and international coalition warplane, carried out airdrop operations in a desert area in Anbar, a media office affiliated with the Iraqi Joint Operations Command emphasized in a statement.

The forces murdered Daesh terrorists and completely damaged their headquarters, in addition to tunnels and caches of weapons and explosives, the statement affirmed, adding the operation is still ongoing.

Daesh terrorists are still active in the vast Anbar desert which stretches to the border with neighboring nations of Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, as many civilians have been abducted or murdered by the radical group lately.
