(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who was wanted by law to serve a two-year jail terms, reports Al-Rai daily. The unfortunate citizen went to police station as a witness following a complaint filed by a friend and when police checked his ID, it was discovered he had been sentenced in absentia.
The incident took place about a week ago when a citizen was attacked in front of his home in Taima by a compatriot over differences between them and the former suffered a head injury.
A security source said that 'the victim gave names of three witnesses, and when they were summoned to give their testimonies, they presented their Civil IDs and police discovered one of them was wanted by law.
