Arab Parliament calls on international community to end Israeli occupation

Cairo, May 15 (Petra) -- The Arab Parliament called on the international community to bear responsibility and take a firm stance to end Israel's occupation of Palestine.

On the occasion of the Nakba Day, which marks the displacement of hundreds of Palestinians from their homes, the Parliament also called for enabling the Palestinian people to return to their home and establish an independent Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, .

Parliament Speaker Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami called on the international community to take effective steps to provide protection to the Palestinian people and stop racist laws the Knesset issues to legitimize Israel's heinous crimes.

He also urged Palestinian parties to end the division and reconcile, stressing the parliament's solidarity with Palestine against the aggressive acts it suffers from.
