(MENAFN) Dubai-based transportation network company Careem declared the introduction of direct bus services in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the ride-hailing app confirmed that the Jeddah-Makkah services is planned to begin with 13-seater buses at prices that are 60 percent less than other services.
Director of Careem Bus Hadeer Shalaby stated: "Careem Bus will revolutionise mass transportation across Saudi Arabia and bring a new level of sophistication and price to our customers."
Shalaby added: "the 13-seater service has been a huge success in Egypt, easing traffic flows and providing a safe and efficient way to commute."
This move comes in line with the company's "ongoing commitment to solving transportation issues, improving mobility and creating jobs."
