Jeddah, 14 May 2019 SPA -- Jeddah Islamic Port achieved remarkable growth in containers handling during the month of April 2019 by 403,000 containers, an increase of 28%. The port also achieved a growth rate through handling 178,000 containers with an increase of 25% compared to the same period from the previous year.
This growth in the handling of containers operations is a confirmation of capabilities, operational and logistic capabilities of Jeddah Islamic Port, in light of the efforts being exerted by the General Ports Authority to develop Saudi ports and increase their performance and productivity in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
