(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman will host the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, (ISPCAN) International Congress in Muscat on September 14 and 15.
A press conference announcing details of the international congress was held on Monday. The congress will be organised by ISPCAN in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development, ARAB-CAN Society, Unicef and Sultan Qaboos University.
A host of experts from the varied fields of psychiatry, psychology, medicine, nursing, social work, education, law, pubic health and government will share their valuable experience at the congress.
Some of the themes that will be discussed in the congress include Legislation and policy: Child protection and child rights; Prevention of child abuse and neglect: Risks and protective factors; Domestic violence and children; Sexual abuse and exploitation; Outcome of child protection services: Best practices and the role of the community and children; Multi-disciplinary teams: Best practices and challenges, bullying and epidemiological data and research.
Interested speakers can submit their abstracts by May 31. Candidates notified by June 15 will be required to register by June 30 to confirm.
