(MENAFN) On Saturday, the Lebanese army received military arms from French authorities at the port of Beirut, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
According to NNA, the Lebanese army received armored personnel carriers labelled VAB Hot Mephisto and boxes holding spare parts for the carriers.
Over a month ago, French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher proclaimed that France had opened a financing account of 400 million euros (USD449.4 million) aimed at securing maritime and land defense equipment for Lebanon.
