Omani travellers warned about hike in overstay charges in Indonesia

The embassy said via its Twitter account that the Indonesian government has increased charges for visitors overstaying from May 3.

It said, 'Starting May 3, foreign nationals overstaying in Indonesia will be charged rupiah 1mn per day from rupiah 300,000 per day.'

In terms of Omani rial, a visitor will be charged RO26.87 per day now instead of the earlier RO8.06 once the visa expires.
