She will receive her award at the South Shore Stars annual gala, to be held Wednesday, May 1, at Granite Links in Quincy.
The South Shore Stars organization is a non-profit that provides early education and youth programs to 1,200 children, ranging from birth to age 18. They use a family support approach, enhancing the development of children from economically and culturally diverse families through collaboration with parents, schools and communities. South Shore Stars operate with a guiding belief that with support, compassion and encouragement, all children can reach their full potential.
Crowley was recognized with the Rising Star award for being a leader in her field and in the South Shore community. Crowley was one of 23 individuals named to receive this prestigious award. She is a resident of Marshfield.
Crowley, a manager of accounting and auditing at blumshapiro, focuses on industries including education, long-term care and senior living, non-profit, manufacturing, and distribution and retail. A graduate of Saint Anselm College (B.A. in Accounting) and Northeastern University (M.S. in Accountancy), Crowley is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, LeadingAge Massachusetts, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Massachusetts Nonprofit Network, Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers, Inc. (Providers' Council), and the Association of Independent Schools in New England.
