Kabul university explosion leaves 5 students injured

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least five students were injured as a result of an explosion at a private university in Kabul on Thursday morning, an official said.

Police spokesman Basir Mujahid told Pajhwok Afghan News an individual wanted to place an explosive device in a bathroom at the Jahan University.

However, the bomb wenr off at around 10:30am before the arracker could reach the bathroom, the police spokesman said.

He added the man who wanted to place the devices was killed and five students of the university were injured, who were evacuated to a nearby hospital.

Mujahid said an investigation into the blast had been conducted and further details if the incident would be shared with the media later on.
