272 killed amid Libya's Tripoli violence


(MENAFN) Death toll of the violence which erupted in the Libyan capital of Tripoli increased to 272, while the number of wounded victims hit 1,282.

It comes after Libya's eastern-based army was ordered to move to the west, specifically Tripoli, resulting in deadly clashes between them and the UN-backed government.

In an online statement, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced "Tripoli toll is now 272 dead, 1,282 wounded and more than 30,000 displaced."

WHO added that it was working with its partners "to make sure primary health care facilities have supplies and resources to serve displaced families."
