Samsung QLED 8K And 4K TVs To Be Available at MENA Retailers Beginning In April

(MENAFN- Editorial) Samsung Electronics Co. announced today that its 2019 QLED TV lineup will be available at MENA retailers from April 17th. The 2019 QLED 8K TVs, which earned a prestigious Innovation Award at CES 2019, come equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Quantum Processor, the AI-powered picture processing semiconductor technology. Samsung’s Quantum Processor automatically upscales lower resolution content from any source to 8K, so that users can enjoy highest quality images, regardless of the picture quality of the original source. The Quantum Processor will also be available on Samsung’s QLED 4K models, allowing the full 2019 QLED TV lineup to deliver scene by scene AI-enhanced picture quality and sound. Unveiled by Samsung Electronics as an industry first, its machine-learning Quantum Processor employs its AI capabilities to learn and compare millions of images that help it to calibrate lower-resolution sources and optimize them into 8K-quality content regardless of the original format. Conventional picture quality conversion technology used to have limited restoration abilities, since the processes were dictated by user’s commands. However, Samsung’s 8K AI picture quality conversion offers precision and efficiency, since the Quantum Processor is analogous and formalizes the formula on its own. These advances in picture quality are more evident on big screen TVs, where higher resolutions and sharpness can be properly showcased. “We are thrilled to be able to bring the next-generation of Samsung TV technology to the MENA region and we are excited for our customers to experience the unrivaled, world-class picture quality that our 2019 QLED 8K TVs offer,” said Sungwan Myung, Head of Regional Office at Samsung Electronics. “We are dedicated to providing the best viewing experience on the market and through our AI-powered QLED 8K TV’s.” To accompany the Quantum Processor in Samsung’s QLED TV, features such as New Bixby will be featured in the intelligence platform to provide consumers with more natural interactions with their TV. Samsung’s QLED TVs are also able to provide useful daily information such as time, weather and news headlines, or display content including photos and artwork images through Ambient Mode, which allows users to decorate their indoor environment and atmosphere based on their own preferences. The best picture quality with significantly improved viewing angles and black levels Equipped with upgraded Ultra Viewing Angle technology, Samsung’s 2019 QLED TVs will allow for backlight to pass through the TV’s panels more evenly onto the screen thanks to improved panel structure and new screen calibration algorithms to enhance the TV’s viewing angles. It delivers consistently stunning picture quality from every viewing angle without glare or reflections in the daytime and in brightly-lit rooms. Along with several picture quality upgrades in 2019, the adoption of Direct Full Array models has nearly doubled from last year. Direct Full Array technology puts backlit LEDs behind the panel for precise brightness control, allowing the light to be adjusted individually to create deeper blacks. Algorithms that recognize and adjust black colors more precisely analyze the characteristics of each scene in real-time for brightness distribution and black ratios to control the backlight and help the 2019 QLED TVs deliver superb black color reproduction.
