Samsung delays Galaxy Fold launch

(MENAFN) South Korea-based Samsung decided to postpone the introduction of its new Galaxy Fold in Hong Kong and Shanghai after cases of broken screens and flickering displays surfaced.

Multinational conglomerate Samsung announced its decision to delay the launch previously set for April 23 and April 24.

Galaxy Fold is also expected to arrive late in the UAE, industry experts suggested.

TechRadar managing editor Abbas Ali stated "considering the ongoing issues with the phone, it is better to wait ... it will also give Samsung enough time to address the problem, avoiding any last-minute glitch and disappointing tech enthusiasts."

"Earlier we were expecting this phone in the UAE by May. But if its US launch is also delayed then our wait could be further stretched," Ali added.
