(MENAFN) Sri Lankan Police declared that 13 people have been nabbed over a string of explosions which claimed 228 lives across the island nation.
The police added that the 13 suspects have been detained in the capital of Colombo and 10 of whom have been shifted to the Criminal Investigations Department.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe confirmed that all of those detained were Sri Lankan nationals and search missions are ongoing to chase after further suspects.
He added that 228 people have died as 450 more were wounded from eight blasts on Sunday.€ƒ
