(MENAFN) Lebanon is incapable of holding its breath any more for a resolution to the ongoing crisis, emphasized President Michel Aoun on Sunday.
President Aoun stressed "Lebanon is in crisis and we cannot afford to wait longer for a solution. We hope to get over with this crisis as soon as possible."
This crisis, the president affirmed, is an extremely challenging one and difficult to conquer.
Aoun noted "we started with our electricity plan which will be followed by the 2019 budget and then comes the economic and environment strategies."
He added that the government is currently reviewing the budget carefully and is avoiding slapping taxes on the poor, pointing out: "we know who to impose taxes on."
