Nigeria: 2 tourists die in attack on recreational center


(MENAFN) A group of unknown armed men in the early hours of Saturday have attacked a recreational center in Kaduna state, north Nigeria, leaving two tourists, including a woman, dead.

Local police declared that attackers wielding dangerous weapons kidnapped 3 more tourists and shifted them to an anonymous area.

State police spokesman Yakubu Sabo confirmed that the gunmen raided the recreational resort named "Kajuru Castle" where they started shooting on guests, leaving two dead on the site.

The spokesman added that a patrol crew has cleared out the bodies, suspected to be tourists from Lagos, Nigeria's economic hub, to the St. Gerard Catholic Hospital in Kaduna metropolis.
