Australia eyes enhancement in trade relations with UAE


(MENAFN) Australian legislators have visited the UAE this week to boost the Dh8.4-billion trade relationship between the both nations.

Peter Watson, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, along with other members of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly, arrived in the UAE on the 17th April to join several events within UAE and to enhance Western Australia's trade and investment.

"I am pleased to announce the visit of the Parliament delegation of the largest State in Australia, which is also the largest mineral and grain exporter, with three out of four Australian universities in UAE from the State, conducting their visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This visit demonstrates the importance of the relationship between UAE and Western Australia," affirmed Pankaj Savara, Commissioner of the Government of Western Australia, Middle East office.
