South Africa: church collapse claims 13 lives


(MENAFN) Local authorities declared that a Pentecostal church has crumbled down due to heavy downpours in eastern South Africa, claiming over 13 lives and wounding 16 more.

The collapse took place on Thursday night in Dlangubo, KwaZulu-Natal Province, while people were gathering for a Passover service.

The KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Medical Services confirmed that six people have been severely wounded.

Local police expected the fatality number to increases as further people might be buried under the rubble.
