Morocco jumps 7.6 percent in tourism arrivals


(MENAFN) Morocco witnessed its tourism sector flourish from January to February 2019 with the number of tourism arrivals surging 7.6 percent.

In a statement, the Moroccan Tourism Ministry confirmed the country to have welcomed 1.59 million guests during the first two months of the year on annual basis.

According to the ministry, Morocco recorded a 9 percent jump in the number of foreign tourists and a 5 percent boost in visitors of Moroccans overseas.

It further added that the increase was attributed to constant boosts in guests from the traditional European markets.
