Qatar, Jordan discuss enhancing cooperation

The Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr Omar Al Razzaz, met here yesterday with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, during his official visit to Jordan.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of developing them, and enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The latest regional and international developments were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Authority of Colleges and Institutes, Major General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi; the Commander of the Joint Special Forces, Major General Hamad bin Abdullah Al Fetais Al Marri; the Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Jordan, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Sada; the Military Attache of the State of Qatar to Jordan, Brigadier General Shafi Mohammed Al Shafi, and a number of ranking officers at the Qatari Armed Forces.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs also visited the National Center for Security and Crises Management in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during his official visit to the Kingdom. The visit aims to identify the Jordanian experience in crisis management and exchange expertise in this field between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister was briefed on the role of the centre in managing crises, its future vision and the strategic plans on which it operates.
