Kuwait Red Crescent committed to humanitarian efforts amid Iran floods

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, April 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent (KRCS) said it would continue its humanitarian role in assisting Iranians devastated by severe flash flooding, which killed dozens, and injured and displaced hundreds.
The organisation had dispatched an air shipment of assistance weighing 80 tonnes, most of which targeted Khozestan, one of the most severely affected provinces.
The assistance was made possible thanks to the personal directions of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, KRCS deputy chief Anwar Al-Hasawi said, describing the floods as a "huge catastrophe." (end) mw.sd
