Qatar- President of Botswana visits Katara

Doha: The President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, and his delegation visited the Cultural Village Foundation Katara yesterday during an official visit to Qatar.

Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, received the President and escorted him in a tour around the different premises and facilities of Katara such as the Amphitheatre, the Drama theatre and the Opera house where they witnessed a rehearsal by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. Dr Al Sulaiti explained to the delegation about the different cultural events and festival Katara carries out throughout the year and its role in building bridges between the cultures of the world.

President Masisi expressed his amusement on the role Katara plays in bringing nations together and valuing arts and culture, he also singed the VIP guestbook of Katara and was awarded an honour shield by Dr Al Sulaiti.
