Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met yesterday at the Amiri Diwan with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the country.
They reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting them in various fields, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers.
H E the Prime Minister and Interior Minister also held formal talks with the visiting Prime Minister. They discussed the bilateral relations and the prospects for enhancing them, especially in the economic and investment fields.
A number of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also discussed. H E the Prime Minister and his Albanian counterpart witnessed the signing of a maritime transport agreement, a letter of intent between the Ministries of Interior of the two countries on cooperation in the field of security, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of sport.
H E the Prime Minister and Interior Minister also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the visiting Prime Minister.
