Ukraine's grain exports amount to 40 mln tonnes



(MENAFN - UkrinForm) Ukraine has exported 40 million tonnes of grain crops since the beginning of the current marketing year, according to the State Service for Food Safety andConsumer Protection.

'In particular, Ukraine has exported over 13.7 million tonnes of wheat (including 9 million tonnes of milling wheat and over 4.8 million tonnes of feed wheat), over 3.2 million tonnes of barley, and 22 million tonnes of corn, reads the report.

In the relevant period of the last marketing year, Ukraine exported 33 million tonnes of grains. In particular, 14.8 million tonnes of wheat (including over 8.4 million tonnes of milling wheat and 6.4 million tonnes of feed wheat), 4 million tonnes of barley, and 13.5 million tonnes of corn were exported.

In the current marketing year, 4 million tonnes of oilseeds were exported, while in the same period last year, the export of oilseeds totaled 4.5 million tonnes.

As reported, in 2018, Ukraine gathered the largest grain harvest for the years of its independence - 70.1 million tonnes, which allowed farmers to export 47-50 million tonnes of grain.
