Sudan's military council names Hashim Babikir as army chief of staff




(MENAFN) On Monday, Chairman of Sudan's transitional military council Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan released decrees to name new army chief of staff, a statement stated.

Hashim Abdel-Mutallab Ahmed Babikir was named as chief of joint staff and Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein as his deputy, Ahmed Khalifa Al-Shami, an army spokesperson, affirmed in a statement.

It emphasized that Abdalla Al-Matari Al-Faradi was appointed as inspector general of the Sudanese armed forces and Adam Haroun Idris as chief of staff of joint operations.

The statement added that the chairman also promoted officers.
