(MENAFN) Sudanese Hashim Abdel-Mutallab Ahmed Babikir has become the new army chief of staff, announced Chairman of Sudan's transitional military council Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan.
On Monday, army spokesman Ahmed Khalifa Al-Shami declared Mohamed Osman Al-Hussein to have assumed the title of deputy.
In a statement, the spokesman confirmed that Abdalla Al-Matari Al-Faradi was named inspector general of the Sudanese armed forces.
Meanwhile, Adam Haroun Idris was picked as chief of staff of joint operations while other officers received promotions.
