Kuwait- Parliament Speaker holds official talks with Tunisian counterpart


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 14 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim held official talks on Sunday with Tunisia's President of the Assembly of the Representatives Mohamed Ennaceur and his accompanying delegation.
In a press statement, Al-Dostour news network said during the meeting, the two sides tackled boosting cooperation relations, and the two sides reviewed ways of developing them to best serve the interest of both countries and peoples.
The talks also covered the importance of increasing cooperation between the two parliaments through exchanging visits and coordinating positions in various parliamentary forums in addition to discussing the latest developments in the region.
The meeting was attended by the secretary of the National Assembly, Dr. Awdah Al-Ruwayi, head of the accompanying delegation of deputies, MP Mohammad Al-Huwaila, MPs Khaled Al-Shatti, Saud Al-Shuaieer, Kuwait's Ambassador to Tunisia Ali Al-Dhufiri and National Assembly Secretary General Allam Al-Kanderi.
After the talks, Al-Ghanim hosted a luncheon in honor of the visiting delegation.
The Tunisian lawmakers arrived in the country on Saturday for a five-day official visit. (end) ns.mb
