Ten million Italians to travel during Easter holiday

(MENAFN) Confturismo tourist business association declared that ten million Italians intend to travel sometime during the Easter holiday, which this year drops in about to two other main holidays.

A market survey by the National Confederation of Artisans and Small and Medium Enterprises (CNA) revealed that this year Italian consumers are to pay an expected 400 million euros on chocolate Easter eggs and on the traditional "colomba" dove-shaped Easter cake, with two out of three households intending to eat over one colomba.

Easter takes place at different day every year, in 2018 it occurred on April 1, but this year it will be on April 21 with Liberation Day closing taking place on April 25, and International Workers' Day on May 1, meaning that this year, Italians can have a lengthily holiday from the weekend of April 21 through May 1.

The Confturismo added that 22 percent of respondents intended to travel within that period.
