Sales of China's licensed merchandise increase in 2018


(MENAFN) China's licensed merchandise sales have reached USD12.7 billion last year, up 14.6 percent.

A report by the China Toy and Juvenile Products Association said that by the end of 2018, 1,473 brands, from 32 countries and regions, have been licensed in the country, up 42.7 percent year on year.

There are 412 firms that have conducted brand licensing business in China by the end of last year, up 26 percent year on year.'

Many of the brands are related to movies and cartoons with products including toys, clothes, food, books and electronics.
