(MENAFN) UAE's energy giant Dana Gas registered a 6 percent boost in the average output of its gas from January to March 2019.
This surge is attributed to the Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRI) following hikes on the production capacity of the Khor Mor field which took place in October.
Dana Gas produced 68,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) during the first quarter of this year, compared to the 65,000 boepd seen during the first quarter of 2018.
CEO Patrick Allman-Ward stated "we expect this increase in production to have a positive impact on the company's revenues since we are now realising gas sales in the KRI and we will be benefiting from the steady increase in oil prices since Q4 2018."
