Kuwait Credit Bank lends USD 94 million


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Credit Bank (KCB) gave a total of KD 28.6 million (USD 94 million) worth of property loans and grants and loans to women in March, the KCB official spokesperson said on Monday.

Habari Al-Khashti said in a press release that the overall realty portfolio loans, during the same month, amounted to KD 206,000 (USD 676,000). Total loans disbursed for building government plots stood at KD 17.8 million (USD 58 million).

Loans allotted for building private units reached KD 2.052 million (USD 6.5 million). Those for purchasing houses reached KD 4.5 million (USD 14 million).

The bank spent KD 201,000 (USD 660,000) for expanding and renovating private residences, during March, and KD 1.5 million (USD 4.9 million) for expanding and repairing government-granted houses.

Grants for citizens of special needs amounted to KD 5.5 million (USD 18 million). (end) skm.rk
