Kuwaiti MP chosen for youth parliamentary forum


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, April 7 (KUNA) - Member of Kuwaiti Parliament Omar Al-Tabtabaie announced his election uncontested by the Arabian group for membership of parliamentary youth forum.

This is the second appointment for Al-Tabtabaie, and has been voted unanimously on the sidelines of Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) 140th General Assembly.

Al-Tabtabaie said that this unanimous support for him comes after hard teamwork by the Kuwaiti delegation which thrives in lifting Kuwait's name internationally.

Al-Tabtabaie expressed his gratitude for the members who have chosen him. The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was established, 130 years ago, as the first international political organization in the world, aiming to tackle international issues, comprising 178 members and 12 associate members.
