Lebanon to review agriculture export fees with Syria


(MENAFN) Syria is set to welcome Lebanon's Agriculture Minister Hassan Lakkis, who will embark on the visit on April 9th to address cuts on Lebanese agriculture export fees.

Lebanon's minister noted that "the cost of Lebanese exports through Syria have increased following the opening of Nasib border, which is weighing heavily on the local agricultural produce."

An option for better strategies on imports and exports using Syrian borders will also be brought up by the minister during the trip.

Lakkis will also discuss with Syrian officials agricultural trade that is for the advantage of both Lebanon and Syria.
