Jet Airways granted financing after founder resignation

(MENAFN) State Bank of India granted Jet Airways USD217.6 million of financing following the resignation of its founder Naresh Goyal and his spouse.

Using the amount, the Indian airline is expected to tackle short-term concerns that include wages as well as leased planes.

Chairman of the massive lender Rajnish Kumar emphasized "we expect to get new investor by May 31."

Kumar added that the stake belonging to the founder is likely to drop to stand at 25 percent, and Etihad's stake would hit 12 percent.
