Arab Summit to avoid discussing Syria's return to Arab League

(MENAFN) The continuation of Syria's suspended membership in the Arab League (AL) is not included on the agenda of the Arab summit arranged for the end of March in Tunisia, the pan-Arab body stated Sunday.

Mahmoud Afifi, AL spokesman, stated in a statement, "Until now, the topic of Syria's return to the AL is not on the agenda and it was not officially proposed by any party".

He added, "But the Syrian crisis is on the agenda".

According to the spokesperson, the AL summit in Tunisia has around 20 subjects on the agenda, containing the Palestinian issue, the disorder in Libya and Yemen and the support of peace and crisis in Sudan.
