Italy eyes more Chinese tourism arrivals


(MENAFN) Italy is seeking to level up its commercial and tourism ties with China as the country sees great potential in the market.

Fiumicino Airport in Rome features welcoming signs in the Chinese language in order to receive Chinese guests, while aiming to increase the number of its tourism arrivals from China.

Chinese Tourism Academy (CTA) unveiled Italy to have welcomed 1.5 million Chinese arrivals in 2017.

Head of Welcome Chinese company Jacopo Sertoli stated "the profile of Chinese tourists has changed in latest years, accordingly to the rapid evolution of the Chinese population, and of its average income."
