(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Overcast conditions will continue to prevail on Sunday, the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has said.

Many parts of the country witnessed similar conditions during the weekend.

As a result, Muscat experienced light drizzle on Saturday.

PACA has said that the sultanate is affected by a trough of low pressure resulting in overcast conditions. 'Isolated light to moderate rain occurred in Musandam, Buraimi, North Batinah and Dhahirah on Friday,' it stated.

'Weather will continue being partly cloudy to cloudy over the governorates of Muscat, Musandam, Buraimi, Dhahirah, North and South Batinah, Dakhliyah, North and South Sharqiyah with chances of isolated rain, occasional thundershowers.'

There are chances of dust rising over desert and open areas. 'Low-level clouds are expected over parts of South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates on Sunday.'

PACA has advised all to take precaution during rain and not to cross wadis and check the sea state before sailing.
