Kuwait- Stop violence in schools

(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, March 23: Rapporteur of the Educational Affairs Committee MP Mohammed Al-Huwaila called on the minister of education to stop violence in schools. He said the situation calls for all concerned management bodies to strengthen supervision and guidance policies in schools to curb violence.

Al-Huwaila noted that school violence escalated recently, not just in terms of frequency but also its nature – stressing the need to address the issue by implementing educational and behavioral programs, strengthening student camaraderie and raising religious awareness. He proposed installation of security cameras throughout the school premises, especially in areas where school fights happen frequently, in order to monitor the behaviour of students.
