(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, March 23 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz patronized on Saturday King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in northern Riyadh, in the presence of Representative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation.
The festival was named after King Abdulaziz, who is the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and held for the first time under the supervision of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Camel Club supremo Fahd bin Falah bin Hithlin said in a speech during the festival.
The festival has the originality of the past, the renewal of the present and the future's hope, he added "It was a wisdom to establish a camel club upon a royal order issued two years ago that reflects a beautiful symbol in our culture and present, and a deep-rooted heritage in our history to form an association of camel's owners and those who care for them," he added.
The club has a special ability to accommodate the owners of camels and their camels from the Kingdom and the Gulf region, he said.
He hoped that the camel festival would be a destination of those who are interested in camels all over the world.
