Yemen sees escalating tensions in Hodeidah

(MENAFN) Experts suggested that Yemen is witnessing intensified pressures in Hodeidah while the peace process is facing difficulties with the country marking the fifth civil war year.

The truce reached for Yemen is facing holdups due to "misinterpretation" of the conditions of the agreement, as the UN stressed.

Political analyst Mohammed al-Ghobbasi stated "Yemeni people view the deal as the first breakthrough in years, but the deal lacks a crucial mechanism for implementation, which led to many problems when the rival parties try to implement it on the ground."

Al-Ghobbasi added "the deal's terms were not expressed in simple or direct ways for people to easily understand. People cannot go to the terms to find out who should be the first to start withdrawing their forces from the city ... It's like a blurry image."
