(MENAFN) The United Nations (UN) reached a decision to encourage cooperation in order to attain sustainable growth objectives.
This decision was made during the Second High-level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation which was held in Argentina's Buenos Aires.
UN Development Programme administrator Achim Steiner stated "the conference has brought the necessary momentum and provided us with a roadmap for South-South and triangular cooperation."
Steiner, who is also the conference secretary-general, added "we have forged new partnerships for current and future concerted efforts and seen the spectrum of opportunities available to us."
