Egypt- Vantage working on security procedures for Jerusalem trips

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Vantage Travel International Egypt (VTI) is working on finalising the required security procedures for future trips to Jerusalem, Mohmoud Khalil, manager of aviation and outgoing trips at the company, told reporters at the 'Know India Tourism' seminar which was recently organised by the Indian embassy in Cairo.

'Our trips will be mainly for Jordan, including one day in Jerusalem, if we had the security approvals,' he explained, expecting the trips to take place in June and August.

VTI aims to increase its ingoing trip programmes in 2019 to support the Egyptian economy, Khalil added.

'VTI organised several trips to Sri Lanka, in collaboration with its embassy in Egypt, in addition to other trips to Kenya, Morocco, and Jordan as well as European destinations,' he pointed out.

'We plan to boost our activities in some Asian destinations, especially in China and India,' Khalil said, adding that his company discusses with the Indian embassy in Egypt both ingoing and outgoing trips.

The number of Indian tourists to Egypt was doubled last year, reaching 126,000 visitors, compared to 60,000 in 2014. Last year's figures exceeded those of 2010.

Ismail Abdel Hamid, an adviser to the Egyptian Tourism Authority, affiliated to the ministry of tourism, called on Air India to re-launch its direct flights to Egypt with the aim of boosting tourism between both countries, and to promote the joint business relations, according to a past report of DNE early this week.
