Germany, Finland to provide EUR 58 mln for education reform in Ukraine


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The European Union and the European Training Foundation together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine launched the fifth round of the Torino Process in Ukraine in order to analyze in 2019-2020 the country's vocational education and training reform.

'The Torino Process will also support the EU Programme 'EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine, which will be launched soon. The EU and its member states Germany and Finland will provide EUR 58 mln under this programme to support development of professional and educational standards according to the labour market needs, drafting new curricula, retrain teachers and management staff in Ukraine, promote vocational education, and to modernise VET infrastructure, reads the statement of the EU Delegation to Ukraine posted on Facebook.

Ukraine as a member of the European Training Foundation has participated in the Torino Process since its establishment in 2010.

In particular, Ukraine actively cooperates with the European Training Foundation to improve the national vocational education and training system as regards the implementation of European standards.
