Kuwaiti FM to head Kuwaiti delegation at emergency Islamic meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 21 (KUNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Thursday left to Istanbul to head the State of Kuwait delegation partaking in an extraordinary meeting of Islamic states.

Sheikh Sabah Khaled is taking part in the OIC Open Ended Executive Committee Emergency Ministerial Meeting, due on Friday, under chairmanship of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Turkey has called for the ministerial meeting to discuss repercussions of the twin terrorist attack that targeted worshippers at two mosques in New Zealand last Friday.

Sheikh Sabah Khaled was accompanied by a number of senior officials from his department. (end) ha.rk
